Android Game Review ? Asteroid Trap

Ecce mobili has published a new, space-themed casual game called ?Asteroid Trap?. Your task is simple: guide a comet through space in order to disperse a set percentage of cosmic fog, which blocks the sight on the dangerous asteroids moving around and with which your comet or its trail must not collide. Once you got used to it, the controls for your comet are quite easy, you just have to swipe towards the direction in which you want the comet to move. Which is also positive is that the player can choose between four different difficulty modes, ranging from ?Kids? to ?Nuts?, which determine the speed of the asteroids.

Unfortunately, the game fails to create a convincing spacy atmosphere, because even though the explosion sound effects and the background music are quite good, the potential has not been fully tapped. The same holds true for the graphics: the background only consists of a small collection of pictures of a starlit sky with scattered galaxies and the animations are also very simple.

In conclusion, there is to say that the concept behind ?Asteroid Trap? is nice and the gameplay itself makes it a good game for short-term entertainment, but the developers will still have to work on its execution.
