Lenovo Borrows Samsung Galaxy S3?s CPU For LePhone K860

We already knew about the existence of a Lenovo smartphone based on an Intel processor, but here?s a new interesting terminal. It?s the Lenovo LePhone K860, which borrows the quad-core Exynos chipset manufactured by Samsung. We are talking about the same processor that was fitted inside Samsung Galaxy S3, that same underpinning the Meizu MX 4 core.

As about the model you can see in the gallery below, Lenovo LePhone K860, it is running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and is a high-end smartphone. ?Besides the quad-core Exynos 4 Quad CPU clocked at 1.4 GHz, LePhone K860 comes with a 5-inch HD display more like a reminiscent of a phablet than mobile phone.

Other features include an 8 megapixel camera with LED flash and most likely full HD video recording, front-facing 2 megapixel camera, 1 GB of RAM and 4 GB ROM. K860 weighs in 185 grams and measures 143.6 x 74.5 x 9.6 m, therefore is only a bit smaller than Samsung Galaxy Note.

Probably Lenovo LePhone K860 and the recently rumored Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will have a lot in common, therefore you can consider the Lenovo phablet a distant cousin of the next-gen Samsung giant smartphone.

Lenovo will launch this quad-core model on the Chinese market, and, hopefully, it will be released on other markets to, most likely in the fall. Maybe it will be announced in October, when the rumor mill says that Note 2 will debut, and it will probably be $150 cheaper than its rival.

So, considering that all the Note 2 rumors are true and the two phablets will share the same chipset but the Samsung device will have a slightly bigger display, would you buy the Note 2 or choose the cheaper LePhone K860?
